I lol'd

Hey guys, it gets better around 0:44...

Lol you kinda messed up at 0:55.

Just watch that third chord c# + with c major on top... the F and the high e really clash hardcore.. we actauly the whole chord does but you fix that and you're kinda on to something.

Props for playing something live and posting it.

Jesusinthebox responds:

Actually that chord was using a tritone with B and F with C on the bottom and the dissonance is there for a reason ;D. It all playes to a Bi-tonality taste. with some Rachmaninoff type sprinkled in the middle. I appreciate your appreciation.

0:55.... yeahhh i know but all my songs have a little screw up somewhere if i record it live XD. you should hear the first recordings of all my songs oh god D=...

Good game, great music. I love your mixes ^_^. Keep kicking ass with your music.

FL Studio for sure.

Do you have the full version or the demo? I can't stand the demo, because you can't save your files and work on it later.

Good use of all the sounds without much alteration. Used the "default Dance setup", power chords, bass, ect., but mixed them pretty well.

The B section doesn't really slip back into the A smoothly. Perhaps you could add a bridge to connect the two.

Hope you make some more stuff.

Dan1337h4x0r responds:

It was the full version, but I cant remember were i got it from

I think the term is "2-ply"

If you're reffering to toilet paper. Not bad, but a bit hard to listen to. Sounds like SFX taken from that windows "Pinball" game. Anywho, good stuff, and keep it up.

Rofl.

This song made me laugh, and in agood way. You have enspired me and made my day. All the best ^_^.

Vely nice!

What program do you use for your composing needs? I used to use Cubasis, but lent it to a friend and lost it -_-. Now I use Finale for sheet music, and FL Studio for loops.

Do youp play piano? It sounds as though you were messing around and came up with the main theme on the piano, and then added orchestration behind it.

This would sound great behind a video game track, anime (sorry if oyu're not a fan), or a childhood/monologue scene from a movie. It just has that innocence or solitude quality to it.

ANywho, great work. This was really nice to listen to, and I hope to hear more of your stuff!

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Something that should be noted by all is that I do play the piano. Every note heard in my music, by all instruments, is just me playing the piano. I just record one track of a song, then I go back and use different instruments and add those to it. And then I get a song. btw... I love anime. And I don't use a program at all. The only thing I use a computer for is recording the music from my keyboard onto the computer to send to Newgrounds. Thanks again.

Not bad not bad.

I bring in a deeper base when the beat comes thorugh; I get a very high tone feel from this elsewise.

I like some of your other stuff; this one just doesn't live up to your name. but it's more than decent.

Keep up the good work ^_^

littledinosaur responds:

well, this isn't the type of music i normally do, and I don't like this type of music.

However you're right about the bass and I'll possibly release an updated version with some fixes and additions.

Anyways thanks for the review.

Nice stuff ^_^

DO you have the demo aswell? I find it very limiting, which can be frustrating at times. But you seem to have made good use of many of the sounds.

I really like that moaning sound that comes throuh every now and then: What instruments did you use? The lower pitched one sounds like a cello, but the higher ones I have no clue.

You should think about adding chords and stuff ontop of the whole work, although sometimes it messes things up really bad (heh, no comment >_> <_<). However this one sounds pretty good even without.

Your stuff tends to have a videogame trend going on with it, as in it sounds like stuff from gameboy/nintendo midi files, and that's where all the good shit is at. A lot of new stuff is all orchestrated and *hallmarked*, if may be so bold to say.

Keep up the good work, and can't wait to hear more.

P.S. Have/Are you submitting song to Erkie's contest? You've got a bit of a portfolio now (and probably a crapload of other stuff not yet finished/submitted), and it might be fun.

Meh, Take care.

Zerok responds:

No, BazzMann is suppose to get the demo to me. I'm too lazy to go to the site and get it. Still using FL3.

The monaing sound you're talking about is either the NITEMARE sample tweaked a bit or the low one that happens almost off the start. That one might have started out as a crash, actually. Major tweakage there. I'm not too sure, I'm not writing this on the computer that I made the .flp file on. When I go home I'll look. I know the bassline was made almost entirely from a sample called BangBass. The drums are all from the 'realistic' kit. I can send you a more detailed e-mail if you want. ^_^

Chords are something that I am still cautious about using. I'm not musically inclined enough yet to really put together something melodic. I've always been a drummer you see.

I actually have an unfinished piece that sounds *very* oldskool video game-esque. It might be my next submission. That or a cover tune.

I don't think I've heard of that contest. Are there details in the Audio Forum? I'll look around, and e-mail you if I can't find anything. Thanks for the review man!

Lol, reminds me of my first Java applet

It's really cool, but there are parts where it just doesn't quite click. I'm having similar problems with my audio.

Anywho, good stuff
